Macc opens Lahad Datu branch

LAHAD DATU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) opened its Lahad Datu branch, its third in Sabah after Sandakan and Tawau, today.

Its deputy chief commissioner (Management and Professional) Datuk Seri Zakaria Jaffar said the branch would serve as a platform for the local community to channel information or complaints related to corruption and power abuse.

“Nine officers headed by Mayasin Matali will be based here,” he said.

Zakaria said the public could contact the office through 089-868767.

Also present at the function was MACC Sabah director Datuk Hishamuddin Hashim and district officer Iman Ali.--BERNAMA
