KUALA LUMPUR: It’s confirmed! Popular actress Nora Danish and Nedim Nazri have split.
The couple who have been romantically linked for the past few years have decided to end their relationship recently.
When contacted by the NST today, 33-year-old Nora confirmed the matter and said the decision was mutual.
“We decided to end the relationship and just be friends. Both of us have accepted this and hopefully fans can continue to pray for our well beings,” said Nora who shot to stardom through TV3’s popular series Puteri in 2007.
However, she did not want to say when the split took place.
A look at their Instagram posts showed that both of them have ceased uploading their photographs taken together three weeks ago.
Previously, both Nora and Nedim who is the son of Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz had uploaded many photographs taken together on their respective Instagram accounts with romantic captions accompanying their photographs.
All these stopped several weeks ago, with the couple only posting photographs of them solo or with their family members. Also posted are positive messages, fuelling rumour on their breakup.
Declined to divulge details on the reasons behind the shocking break-up, the mother-of-one said, all she wanted to do now was to focus on her career.
“There’s no reason to hold on to memories. I prefer not to talk about it anymore. I believe everything happens for a reason,” she said.
Nora will soon be starring in two films - Polis Evo and Chowrasta - out soon.
“Polis Evo will be released on Sept 17 while Chowrasta will be on Dec 3. My schedule will be packed with Polis Evo promotional tours. That aside, I am also busy managing my cafe Kopi.Xoxo in Bangsar.
“Also, I am discussion to set up a new business which I will share more details in due time. All these are keeping me occupied,” she said.
Nora is also down for a new TV series Rumi Dan Jawi. Directed by Erma Fatima, filming will take place soon.
Nora has a son, Putra Rayqal Ramli Rizal Ashram, 6, from her previous marriage, while Nedim also has a son Mohamed Nedrin, 3, from his previous marriage.
