Money changer outlet robbed

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking down four suspects who robbed a money changer premises at Jalan Equine, Seri Kembangan here earlier today.

Serdang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Razimi Ahmad said in the 6.30pm incident, the suspects had break into the premises and carted about RM100,000 in various currencies.

"Two of the suspects armed with parang had kicked the front door before they barged into the outlet.

"Their accomplices were staying guard on two motorcycles during the robbery," he said.

Razimi said at the time of the incident, only a 26-year-old worker was at the outlet and he was unhurt.

Checks revealed the outlet had only been operating for a month and there were no security guards presence during the robbery.
