Sabak Bernam: 7 bodies yet to arrive Hutan Melintang jetty

TELUK INTAN: A total of 24 bodies from the boat which sank off Sabak Bernam had been fished out from the sea.

However, only 17 bodies were brought to the Hutan Melintang jetty as at 3pm today.

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency Klang chief Mohd Aliyas Hamdan said so far, 20 survivors had also been found and rescued.

"The latest survivor was found at noon today, about five nautical miles from the location where the boat sank," he said.

Speaking to reporters here today, Aliyas added that the 17 bodies had been sent to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh.

"We are waiting for seven other bodies to come ashore," he said.
