Daro health clinic destroyed in fire

DARO: A government health clinic located in a rural area of Mukah here was razed to the ground this morning.

Daro police station received a distress call over the fire in the 4am incident.

Mukah district Fire and Rescue Department dispatched six fire fighters and one support vehicle to the Daro health clinic, which is located about two hours from Mukah.

Fire fighters managed to put off the fire at 7am. No casualties were reported.

State Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Tiong Ling Hii when contacted said the department is still investigating the cause of the fire.

Tiong also said they have yet to confirm the cost of the damages from the incident as it is still pre-mature to identify.
