KUALA LUMPUR: Fire broke out at the Chow Kit market here, last night.
The blaze was reported to have affected the old Chow Kit market and the Raja Bot market here.
Twenty-eight firemen from Titiwangsa, Sentul and Hang Tuah fire stations were rushed to the scene to douse the flames.
City Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Azizan Ismail said three fire engines arrived at the scene four minutes after receiving a call at 12.30am.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
