TPPA debate not happening in coming Parliament sitting

KUALA LUMPUR: The debate for the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) may not happen in the coming Parliament sitting this month.

International Trade and Industy Minister II Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan said the government needed to engage with all quarters on the matter and it takes time.

"We need to inform the rakyat...before we decide on the matter, we must ensure the matter is widely understood," he said.

Ong was speaking to reporters after opening Wanita MCA annual general meeting here today.
