MALACCA: An automated teller machine at a bank in Ayer Keroh was detonated by robbers at 2am today.
State police chief Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye said a sum of money had been taken away from the machine but the amount had yet to be verified by the bank manager.
"Police also found an undetonated bomb in the premise. We are investigating whether it was a back up bomb or the suspects accidentally left behind."
He said police are also reviewing the closed-circuit television footage to track the movement of the suspects involved.
Police believe more than one suspect was involved in the incident.
