IPOH: A senior citizen was killed when a coconut tree fell on his Perodua Rusa van at Kampung Sri Kinta here during heavy rain today.
Wong Yew Khon, 66, from Pekan Razaki here died on the spot in the 6.30pm freak accident near the Sri Kinta wet market.
A State Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said it took them more than two hours to extricate the victim's body from the wreckage.
