KUALA LUMPUR: Students in the B40 category will receive school supplies from PLUS Malaysia Bhd, in conjunction with its 'Back To School' community programme beginning today until Dec 18.
Its managing director Datuk Noorizah Abd Hamid said 10,000 students will receive two sets of uniforms, head scarves for the girls, a pair of shoes, two pairs of socks, a pair of track bottom, stationery set and school bag.
"I believe that a programme such as this will help to ease the burden of the family when it comes to school supplies. This is the second year for this programme in which PLUS has allocated RM2 million this year," she said.
She was speaking to reporters after the event's launch which was officiated by Deputy Finance Minister II Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani.
