BAGAN SERAI: A 37-year-old man was killed when he fell from his superbike and was subsequently hit by a car at Jalan Gula, Gunung Semanggol, here last night.
Mohd Hisham Abdul Hamid died on the spot due to his injuries in the 7pm incident,
Kerian district police chief, Superintendent Omar Bakhtiar Yaacob said Mohd Hisham’s Ducati motorcycle had earlier broken down.
Mohd Hisham and his four friends were believed to be on their way home to Kulim.
His friends, who were riding with him, decided to take turns to ‘push’ the bike with their feet, with him steering the machine.
However, Hisham is believed to have lost control of his bike and fell onto the road.
A vehicle, unable to stop in time, rammed into him, killing him instantly.
