Friends track down robbers and hand them a 'revenge beatdown'

KUALA LUMPUR: Three men sustained serious injuries when they were assaulted by 10 parang-toting robbers at a petrol station in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara, Petaling Jaya, this early morning.

However, the attack sparked another incident when friends of the injured victims tracked down the robbers and beat them up in return.

In the first incident, the four friends had stopped by the petrol station around 5am when they were attacked.

As a result, three of them were rushed to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

The fourth person, who escaped injury, then alerted a group of other friends on the attack.

The group then tracked down the earlier gang and located them at One Avenue in Dataran Pelangi Utama.

A fight broke out, leaving two of the robbers injured and three escaping.

The two victims were rushed to the UMMC.

Petaling Jaya deputy police chief Supt Mohd Ali Thamby confirmed the incident.
