Husam set to face Pas disciplinary committee over criticism of party

KUALA LUMPUR: Pas' former vice-president Datuk Husam Musa will be hauled up before the party's disciplinary committee for his repeated criticism against the party.

Deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the complaints he received had merits.

"The complaints have merit and it is a standard disciplinary case that can be considered for action.

"After studying all aspects, as well as abiding by the 'rules against bias' and 'conflict of interest', the central committee decided the complaints have to be brought before the disciplinary committee," he said.

He said disciplinary committee chief Dr Daeng Sanusi Daeng Mariok will chair the proceedings.

Tuan Ibrahim said the decision to bring Husam in front of disciplinary committee was decided after the central committee meeting earlier today.

Husam had recently offered criticism against the party, in particular on Pas' supposed plans to repair ties with Umno.

Husam had also spoken out against the Kelantan's government failure to implement 'hudud law' in the state.
