IPOH: Police have classified the case of a 55-year-old man, who was found dead at his home at
Persiaran 1, Taman Bersatu, Simpang Pulai, here as murder.
A post mortem conducted on the victim Chan Mook San, 55, at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun this morning revealed that there were wounds on his head and signs of being punched on his face.
His younger brother Chan Man Keong, 51, said several of his brother's belongings were also missing.
"His wallet which he always kept on his body is missing. The motorcycle keys and the motorcycle he rides are also no where to be found," he said when met at the mortuary earlier.
Meanwhile, the police forensic team returned to the scene at 3.30pm today to gather more evidence.
Mook San's remains were found by Man Keong on Monday evening after neighbours complained that the lights to his house had not been switched on for days and the door to the house was unlocked.
