FANS of retro-style mirrorless cameras can now plan of upgrading their cameras to the new weather resistant Fujifilm X-Pro2.
Comes with a new sensor, the 24.3-megapixel X-Trans CMOS III sensor, the X-Pro2 is said capable of doing image processing at 4 times faster speed than conventional processor, which include the write speed, start-up time and high-speed continuous shooting.
Fujifilm says the new image processing engine also offers faster autofocus, lower noise and both tonal and colour reproduction that surpasses the previous EXR processor.
For those prefer shooting through the viewfinder, the X-Pro2 features a hybrid viewfinder which is capable of instantly switching between optical and electronic viewfinder.
`The mechanical shutter speed has also been boosted to 1/8000 seconds, compared to 1/4000 seconds on the X-Pro1.
In the new model, Fujifilm introduces a new film simulation mode, which the company is famous for. The new mode is called Acros, which capable of producing smooth tones, deep blacks and rich textures. A new grain effect mode adds graininess to photographs which gives images that looks like old film photos.
Besides the X-Pro2, Fujifilm also launches a compact APS-C sensor, the X70.
Designed for street photography and easy everyday use, this slim and light-weight 16.3MP camera comes with a fixed 18.5mm F2.8 prime lens.
The interesting part about this camera is the use of touch tilting LCD screen to make composing and shooting easier.
Besides the two new cameras, Fujifilm also launches the new Fujinon XF100-400mm F4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR telephoto lens, which covers a 35mm focal length equivalent of 152-609mm.
The high performance lens is designed for shooting fast-moving subjects including aircraft and motorsports. The lens is also both water and dust resistant and can operate in temperatures as low as -10-degree Celsius.
The X-Pro2 (body) and X70 are priced at RM8,188 and RM3,388, while the Fujinon XF100-400mm lens is available at RM8,998.
