SHAH ALAM: Motorists were held up for several hours when a pileup involving 14 vehicles occurred at the Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari traffic light heading to Subang Monterez, at noon today.
The 12.30pm incident involved an MPV, nine cars, a trailer and a lorry carrying soil.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohd Sani Harul said the victims were reported to be safe and were helped by witnesses before firemen from the Kota Anggerik Fire and Rescue station arrived at the scene.
The accident caused a massive traffic jam for residents from Puncak Alam, Saujana Impian, Cahaya SPK and Bukit Jelutong heading from and towards Kampung Melayu Subang and Shah Alam.
The cause of the accident has yet to be determined.
