JDT knocked off top of Super League standings

KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim was knocked off the top of the Super League standings on Friday by Felda United after seeing their run of 12 straight wins halted by Kelantan.

Felda capitalised on the slip by the defending champions to move to the top on 18 points after beating Selangor 3-1 in Jengka.

Darul Ta'zim, who squandered a two-goal lead in Kota Baru, slipped a point behind Felda while Selangor are a distant third on 11 points.

Hadin Azman put Felda ahead after nine minutes with his fourth goal of the season before Patrick Wleh equalised in the 71st minute for Selangor.

However, Wleh's fellow Liberian Zah Rahan Krangar found the top corner of the Selangor goal to restore Felda's lead just four minutes later before Francis Doe wrapped up the win when he made it 3-1 in the 77th minute.

After Juan Martin Lucero scored in the ninth and 52nd minutes, Darul Ta'zim appeared to be heading for a comfortable win at the Sultan Mohamed IV Stadium.

But Indra Putra Mahayuddin's header reduced the arrears for Kelantan a minute later, marking the first away goal Darul Ta'zim have conceded after seven cleansheets in all competitions.

Wan Zaharulnizam Wan Zakaria then scored in the 67th minute to end Darul Ta'zim's run of 12 consecutive wins in all competitions.

Kuala Lumpur stayed top of the Premier League table with 17 points after edging DRB-Hicom 2-1 in Selayang while Negri Sembilan stayed two points behind with a nervy 4-3 win over PKNS at Paroi.

Leonard Moreira scored from the penalty spot in the 16th minute before Anselmo Arruda Da Silva doubled KL's lead 20 minutes later only for Ivan Babic to rattle the city side by lashing home in the 67th minute for DRB-Hicom.

Malacca stayed third, trailing Negri on goal difference, after beating Kuantan 3-2 at the Hang Jebat Stadium thanks to Nurshamil Abdul Ghani's late strike.

Paulo Rangel scored both goals in Johor's 2-0 win over Perlis in Pasir Gudang while Dedy Kusnandar's header 14 minutes from time lifted Sabah out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 victory over Sime Darby at Likas.

In the early kick-off in in Shah Alam, a last-minute goal by Zaironi Yusof earned bottom-side Armed Forces their first point in seven matches following a 2-2 draw with Universiti Teknologi Mara, for whom Pavel Purishkin struck twice to lead the scoring charts with eight goals.
