KOTA BARU: The seven-year-old primary school student who died after she was bitten by a snake at Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato Hashim 1 yesterday was laid to rest this morning.
Nuri Nadirah Ruslan was buried at the Kedai Buluh Muslim cemetery after her burial was postponed last night.
Her body had experienced spasms and reflexes while the family was preparing her remains for burial at their home in Taman Buaya last night.
Nuri Nadirah was said to have gripped her mother’s hand while being bathed.
An ambulance was called to the house to check on the girl, before she was pronounced dead once again at 10.15pm.
The incident caused a commotion among the family, villagers and media personnel, who rushed to the scene to check on the authenticity of the information, which had also gone viral on social media.
