I've not been told of sacking by Pas, says Husam

KOTA BARU: Former Pas vice-president Datuk Husam Musa says said he has yet to receive any official notice of him being sacked from the party.

As such, the Salor Pas assemblyman said as president of the Kubang Kerian Pas division, he would attend its supreme meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow.

"I would like to explain that as of this moment, I have yet to receive any official notification regarding my termination.

“I will only issue an official statement after I get the real notification from the party's disciplinary board," he said through a Facebook posting.

Husam said he was informed of the news from unofficial sources and text messages.

“I am saddened by the news," said Husam.

Earlier today, Pas disciplinary committee chairman, Dr Sanusi Daeng Mariok said Husam's expulsion was effective April 23.

Husam had been a vocal critic of the party and its leadership, with criticism aimed at Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.
