Advantage to BN if PKR, Pas and Amanah all contest Sg Besar, K. Kangsar

ALOR STAR: Barisan Nasional (BN) will have the advantage if Pas, Amanah and PKR each place their own candidate in the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections, said Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.

Tajuddin said the opposition parties each have their own agenda and were not united for the benefit of the people or even the country.

"We welcome such a decision (if Pas, Amanah and PKR each places their own candidate in the two by-elections). The more candidates contesting for the seats, three over one for instance, the more advantage we would have. It shows that they are not united.

"Let them bicker among each other. They do not share the same agenda or goals.‎

"The opposition pact does not unite for the benefit of the people or the country. They formed the pact so that they could help each other for their own benefit. Such alliances would not last long," said Tajuddin, adding that the opposition coalition can be described as an "alliance of bandits" due to the purpose of their formation.

Tajuddin was speaking to the media after the launch of the Kedah state level 'Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen's Day' at Taman Jubli Emas here today. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah was also present at the event.
