KLANG: Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu has secured one of the 27 seats in the National Parti Amanah Negara Leadership Committee for the 2023 - 2026 term.
Mohamad, who is Kota Raja member of Parliament, polled 613 votes when the party election concluded at 5.05pm.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad secured the highest votes of 900 in order for him to secure a spot in the committee.
A total of 1,003 party delegates voted during the party election.
According to the party's constitution, the 27 top leaders who secured a seat in the National Amanah Committee will now meet, deliberate and decide who among them will be holding the top five position for the 2023-2026 term.
The top five posts are the party president, deputy president and three vice-presidents posts.
