Hishammuddin quietly confident of Kuala Kangsar win

KUALA KANGSAR: Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein is "quietly confident" of Barisan Nasional's chances in this Saturday's polls.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Menora here, Hishammuddin said the high early voter turnout for Kuala Kangsar was a "good sign".

"The mood and momentum for now seems very good, but we have to ensure that we have a strong finish.

"(BN machinery) must not be complacent, and remain focused on our goal.

"I am quietly confident with our position here in Kuala Kangsar," said Hishammuddin, who is also Defence Minister.

He also hoped that the voters would not fall for the Opposition's old tactics and be rational when voting for their representative in Parliament.
