SEREMBAN: The Negri Sembilan government today announced a RM500 special financial assistance for the state’s civil servants in view of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the special assistance is consistent with the Federal government decision to assists the 1.6 million civil servants as preparation to celebrate the festival next month.
“Based on the exco meeting today, we decided to give this special festival assistance to permanent and contract public servants in the state. This will also involve state government agencies and subsidiaries including Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan (SAINS) and Pusat Zakat Negeri Sembilan,” he said after chairing the state exco meeting today.
Mohamad said RM3.9 million had been allocated for Aidilfitri assistance, to be received by 6,495 employees on June 23.
“They will receive the RM500 together with their salary,” he said.
Earlier, Mohamad presented the Excellent Service Award to nine officers and staff who had shown exceptional performance in carrying out their duties, as well as being active in community service activities.
Mohamad also said that the annual ‘Mantai Perdana’ programme will be held this year.
“We have yet to decide on the date and the price of the meat to be sold during the programme. We will announce it soon,” said Mohamad.
