Man shot five times in murder attempt along KL-Seremban highway [VIDEO]

KUALA LUMPUR: A company executive became the target of a hitman today, taking five bullets in a drive-by shooting along the KL-Seremban highway.

The executive, 40, was on his way to his office in Damansara at 8.40am when a motorcyclist pulled up alongside his Nissan Teana.

The biker, riding level against the vehicle, took out a gun and fired off six shots in the direction of the Teana.

Only one of the gunman's shots missed. The other five struck the victim in the arms, neck and chest.

City police chief Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh, speaking to reporters at the crime scene today, said the victim was rushed to the Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

His condition is still unknown.

Police say they are tracking down the suspect and are probing the motive behind the incident.

Earlier this month, a similar incident took place at the Sungai Rasau toll plaza, where a businessman was gunned down by a hitman on a motorcycle.

Police had described the shooter as a professional killer due to the accuracy of the shots. The gunman had fired off 10 shots, six of which struck the victim and killed him.
