Najib, Rosmah attend 'khatam' al-quran and 'iftar' at Seri Perdana

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor today attended ‘khatam’ (completion of reading) al-Quran and ‘iftar’ (break of fast) at Seri Perdana, here.

Rosmah, her daughter Nooryana Najwa and four of her friends ‘khatam’ al-Quran under the guidance of Ustaz Ahmad Subki Othman.

Also present were Raja Puan Besar Perak, Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah and Chief Justice Datuk Arifin Zakaria.

Najib and Rosmah then broke fast with about 350 guests including members of Welfare Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti), Association of Wives and Women Civil Servants (Puspanita), Police Wives Welfare Association (Perkep) and the Armed Forces Welfare Body (Bakat).

About 150 ‘tahfiz’(al-Quran memoriser) children, orphans and Permata Negara children received Aidilfitri contributions from the prime minister and his wife.
