SHAH ALAM: A lecture room at the iconic Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah mosque in Shah Alam was completely destroyed in a fire today.
Eighteen firemen from the Shah Alam Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the scene to battle the blaze just before 2.30pm.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul said the fire, which occurred at the ground floor of the mosque, was brought under control in 20 minutes.
No casualties were reported. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
