LABUAN: A 21-year-old man died and two of his friends were hospitalised with one of them sustaining serious injury after they were involved in a car crash at 3.5km Jalan Tun Mustapha, here this morning.
The accident occurred around 5.30am after their Toyota Avanza went off the road and hit a large palm tree by the roadside.
Labuan police chief, Supt Adzhar Othman said the deceased, identified as Mazlan Ajid, who was unemployed, was trapped inside his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“One passenger suffered a broken leg while another only sustained minor injury on his face and were warded for treatment at the hospital,” he said to reporters today. --BERNAMA
