ISKANDAR PUTERI: A 26-year-old man was killed after his car crashed into a tree at a roundabout near Jalan Puteri Harbour in Taman Iskandar Puteri here early today.
District acting police chief Superintendent Ibrahim Mat Som said the victim succumbed to severe head and bodily injuries in the 2.24am accident.
He said preliminary investigation the victim lost control of his car when he was manuvering the Jalan Puteri Harbour roundabout before his vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the tree.
"The victim sustained severe bodily and head injuries. His body was sent to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for post-mortem.
"Several minutes following the accident, two men in a car heading towards the same direction, attempted to avoid the mangled vehicle causing their vehicle to skid.
"Both men, however, only suffered minor injuries," he said.
