Police hunting four men over murder case involving ex-triad member

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are tracking down four men whom they believe could shed light on a murder case involving a former triad member in Taman Cheras on Friday.

City police chief Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh today urged the public to come forward should they know the whereabouts of the four men.

“Checks on closed-circuit television cameras showed that four men were at the house on the day the murder took place," he told reporters at a press conference here today.

On Sunday, police found the victim's remains in a Toyota Hilux that was parked in front of a house in Taman Cheras.

The body, which sustained six gunshot wounds, was already decomposing when it was discovered.

The discovery was made following a report received from a woman, who claimed to be the victim's friend.

A disabled man in a wheelchair, believed to be the mastermind, was arrested when he turned up at a police station in Dengkil yesterday.

Police believe the victim was killed on Friday morning following an argument about a business deal.

Police had earlier detained two women and four men to assist in their probe into the murder.
