BUKIT MERTAJAM: A man was left injured after he was beat up by his wife for failing to give her money.
The incident took place at a block of flats here at 6pm yesterday.
The woman, a 35-year-old housewife, had demanded that her husband give her some money to settle some debts. However, her husband, a 38-year-old mechanic, said he was broke as he had used his money for other purposes.
Enraged, the woman then proceeded to unleash a flurry of punches and kicks to her husband’s face.
The couple’s two children, who were home at the time, were stunned to see the fight. The couple’s 17-year-old son tried to restrain his mother, but was instead scolded by her for siding with his father.
The woman, in a huff, took their 15-year-old daughter and fled the home.
Seberang Perai Tengah district police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid said police are looking for the woman to assist the investigation.
