Malaysian teen pianist completes successful performance at Aspen Music Festival

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian pianist, composer & conductor Tengku Irfan recently successfully completed a series of 15 performances at the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado.

Irfan, at 18, was the youngest among more than 30 guest stars who comprised some of the world's top classical musicians.

Despite his tender age, Irfan has been playing in concert halls around the globe for years.

The Aspen Music Festival is regarded as one of the top classical music festivals in the United States.

Tengku Irfan was also recently given the honour of performing, and having his own orchestral compositon commissioned and world premiered by highly-acclaimed conductor Kristjan Järvi and the MDR Radio Symphony at the prestigious Leipzig Gewandhaus in Germany.

The Leipzig Gewandhaus is a venue where Mozart and Beethoven themselves have performed and had their compositions premiered.
