SUNGAI PETANI: A backhoe driver was slashed to death by a group of men at his house in Taman Keladi last night.
M. Kumar, 35, was found dead in a pool of blood in the bedroom, with slash marks on his stomach, legs and both hands.
Based on information, at least 10 men, believed armed with machetes, were believed to have broken into the deceased’s house about 12.20am.
The victim is believed to have tried hiding in the bedroom, but he was eventually discovered and was attacked.
A police source the suspects only fled upon seeing the victim motionless.
“Police, upon receiving information, rushed to the scene and found the body of the man in his bedroom.
“His body was taken to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem,” he added.
