DRAMA fans are in for a treat on Sundays, from now till Nov 13 at 3pm, as TV3 rolls out nominated telemovies for its Anugerah Skrin annual awards on Nov 13.
If you missed Pondok Itu Rumahku, aired last Sunday, you can still catch these: Fatin (this Sunday), Anak Ibu Buangan Ibu (Oct 9), Khilaf Seorang Isteri (Oct 16), Calon Syurga (Oct 23), Cermin Kasih (Oct 30), Bila Tiba Saatnya (Nov 6) and Ku Haramkan Susu Itu (Nov 13).
Fatin stars Sharifah Amani, Pekin Ibrahim, Nadia Aqilah Bajuri and Nadiya Nisaa, and is about Faz and her daughter Fatin. The girl is initially looked after by her father but when he dies, Faz has to care for her.
Anak Ibu Buangan Ibu which stars Janna Nick, Aida Aris and Johan Asari, is about Putri Aisyah, the adopted child of Hanim and Roslan. She is pampered by her parents, and when she reaches her teens, she falls in love with drug dealer Shah.
Khilaf Seorang Isteri tells of Muiz and Thalia, who have both remarried, but keep fond memories of their time together. It stars Syatilla Melvin, Fezrul Khan and Tasha Shila Razak.
Calon Syurga with Shukri Yahaya, Norlia Ghani and Jalil Hamid is about Aliff, a mischievous teenager who turns over a new leaf when his mother, Tom, suffers a stroke. Cermin Kasih, which stars Tiz Zaqyah, Shaheizy Sam and Fazlina Ahmad Daud, tells of Marina who is married to Amran, a drug dealer. One day, Amran is killed in a shoot-out with the police and she is arrested for allegedly assisting his business.
Bila Tiba Saatnya stars Rusdi Ramli, Nazim Othman and Kodi Rasyeed, and is about Aziz who has lost his friends Nazim and Rozman. Nazim lived a hedonistic life patronising nightclubs but this changes after the death of a loved one.
Ku Haramkan Susu Itu is about Zainab who is unaware that her son Tamar works for a human trafficking syndicate. It stars Zarina Zainuddin, Amyza Aznan, Hafeez Mikail and Mia Ahmad.
Meanwhile, RTM’s TVi will be screening Awal Muharram (Maal Hijrah) specials over the weekend, and some new series. First is telemovie La Tahzan which airs at 9pm tomorrow, and stars Zamarul Hisham and Fazlina Ahmad Daud. It’s about Aisyah, who has to raise three young children alone after the sudden death of her husband. She seeks comfort and strength in the spiritual book.
Lunch With The Niks is at 10am on Saturdays. This 13-episode cookery show is co-hosted by celebrity chef Nik Michael Imran and his father Nik Ezar Nik Bolia who manage a family restaurant. Every week they introduce viewers to a celebrity guest, such as veteran sportsman Mirnawan Nawawi and businessman Engku Emran Zainal Abidin.
The 13-episode Young Entrepreneur Show at 10.30am on Sundays, focuses on successful young entrepreneurs who include Sara Dalina (Mesra Alam Sekitar) and Vivy Yusof (Fashion Valet).
The 13-episode Travelog Diary 60 Days In Southeast Asia airs at 10pm on Sundays. Host Sangeeta takes viwers to popular destinations including Sabah, Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
