Motorcyclist dies after being flung 15-metres from bike

KUALA LUMPUR: A 26-year-old man was killed instantly when his motorcycle rammed into a road divider along the Damansara-Puchong Expressway early today.

The victim was identified as Mohamad Hafiz Kader Sultan from Saujana Utama, Sungai Buloh.

Subang Jaya Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Deputy Superintendent Azman Shari’at said the incident occurred at 4.42am as the victim was heading to Puchong from Putrajaya.

Azman said initial investigation showed that the victim had lost control of his motorcycle and rammed into the road divider.

“Due to the impact, the victim sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. The victim was taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) for post-mortem.

“Initial investigation suggested that conditions along the road was slightly dark. The motorcycle landed on the fast lane and the victim’s body was found about 15 metres away from his motorcycle,” he said.

There was no CCTV at the area. Police have urged witnesses to come forward.
