One dead, two injured in three-vehicle collision in Sepang

PUTRAJAYA: One person was killed and two others injured in an accident involving three vehicles at Jalan Pekeliling 4 in Sepang today.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Fire and Rescue Station chief Yahya Mohd Sham said the 2.20pm accident involved a lorry, a Myvi and an Axia near a traffic light heading to an oil cargo depot.

The Myvi driver, Shafik Shazwan Ramli, 32, died at the scene.

"The victim’s body was trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by the rescue team.

"Two men who were in the Axia sustained minor injuries, while the lorry driver was unharmed," he said.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
