ALOR STAR: A trader was today brought to the Sessions Court here to face three charges of raping a minor.
Mohd Ramadan Abdul Rahman Wong, 24, was accused of raping a 12-year-old on three occasions between 8am on June 18 and 11am on Oct 5.
He claimed trial to committing the offences at two different units at Flat Taman Setia Jaya, Jalan Langgar, Alor Star.
The charges, under Section 375(g) of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 376(1), carries a maximum 20 years' jail and is also liable to whipping.
Sessions Court judge Najwa Che Mat fixed Nov 24 for mention pending the medical report.
No bail was granted to the accused, who is a father of three children.
Deputy public prosecutor Ana Rozana Mohd Nor prosecuted while the accused was unrepresented.
