MACC sacks officer over drug offences

PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Disciplinary Board has decided to terminate its officer Muhammad Nazrin Abdullah, who was found guilty of drug offences.

MACC Deputy Commissioner (Management and Professionalism) Datuk Seri Mohd Jamidan Abdullah said the termination of service took effect on Nov 1.

Nazrin was found guilty under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 in September.

“The MACC views the matter seriously and will take action against those who violate the rules of the organisation," Jamidan said in a statement, today.
