SEREMBAN: Motorists along Jalan Sungai Ujong were in shocked when they saw a car driver fell unconscious at the wheel, leading to a massive traffic jam on the stretch.
The man, identified only as Sanjive, in his early 40s, was earlier spotted driving his Proton Saga on the road, before he was said to have suddenly fainted.
Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Department chief operation officer Munawir Md Yusof said the department received a distress call at 4.52pm and arrived 12 minutes later.
“Six firemen and a team from the Emergency Medical Response Service (EMRS) were deployed to the scene. When we arrived, the victim was already outside of his car,” he said.
He said road users had earlier pushed the vehicle to the roadside to the clear the way for the traffic, before they opened the car door and pulled the victim out of the car.
“The victim was given immediate treatment at the scene by the EMRS team, but he hasn’t responded yet. He has been rushed to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital for further treatment.” he said.
