GEORGE TOWN: The body of a 56-year-old murder victim was found in a taxi here early this morning.
The victim has been identified as taxi driver Kheng Heo Keong.
His body, which was slumped in the rear passenger seat of the car, was spotted by a passerby at Jalan Terregganu here at about 2am.
It is believed Kheng was stabbed at least five times in the neck, chest and back.
A police forensic department unit arrived at the scene and combed the area to gather evidence for the case.
A source said early investigations are not ruling out the possibility that Kheng was murdered at another location.
His body was sent to the Penang Hospital for a post-mortem.
