KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has directed the Police Cyber Investigation Response Centre (PCIRC) to investigate an alleged seditious remark posted by a Twitter user today.
Khalid, via Twitter told PCIRC to locate Twitter user B Vadivel @bvadivel who allegedly posted the tweet at 9.45am on the 1969 riots and Kampung Medan clash in 2001.
"PCIRC @PDRMsia trace the tweet handler and take action (against the person) for incitement and abuse of social media," he said.
Khalid, via @KBAB51 also attached a screenshot of the tweet which read: “@afifbahardin 1969 ethnic cleansing of Chinese in KL. 2001 ethnic cleansing of Indians in Kg Medan. Both by Umno nazis,”
