SUITE-UP MY WEEKEND
Upon our arrival at Aloft KL Sentral, we are welcomed in a cool modern lobby. Unlike other hotels, Aloft KL Sentral features a round reception.
Check-in is easy, no fuss at all. Since I booked online, I sign a check-in form and voila!, we are done.
We are given two sets of key-card for the Breezy Suite, plus the connecting Loft Room. Excited to see the rooms, we immediately head for them.
The Breezy Suite is super spacious! It has fully equipped living and dining areas, just like a home and a separate bedroom with a plush king-sized bed.
While the room has an ensuite bathroom, there’s also an additional powder room off the living room. Aloft offers a wall mounted 42-inch TV with lots of viewing choices and an entertainment console to plug and play your devices. There’s also a TV in the bedroom.
As for the Loft Room, there are two comfy single beds and a bathroom.
The package includes complimentary WiFi and drinks and snacks in the mini-bar during the stay.
If you have kids below 12, opt for the Camp Aloft which offers a camp castle and a special kid-sized air mattress. They will also receive a goodie bag with a special deck of cards and games.
SEA MEAT BUFFET AT NOOK
You get two complimentary buffet breakfast at the Nook. But no worries: you will only need to pay RM58 for an adult and RM29 for a child.
Nook offers local and international cuisine and I recommend the Aloft signature dish, Sarawak laksa.
Nook also offers lunch and dinner buffet. On Friday and Saturday, it offers the special Sea Meat Dinner Buffet of fresh mussels, prawns, crabs and more.
There are also quite a lot of dessert choices too! And only at RM120nett per person.
OH MAI BAR-BEQUE
For a more chilled out time, head for the swankiest rooftop bars in the city, Mai Bar.
At the Tiki-themed bar, enjoy the laid-back atmosphere with a bird’s eye view of KL. You can sometimes enjoy live music by an indie band.
Seating arrangements include funky tubes!
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Mai Bar offers BBQ Skewers, available from RM10 per dish.
There are tasty lamb, steak, and seafood barbeque skewers.
COOL AND CONVENIENCE
What I love the most about Aloft KL Sentral is that it has cool and convenient features such as the Re:Fuel centre at the lobby area where you can buy grab-and-go meals such as sandwiches, snacks and drinks 24/7! There’s also the Re:Mix lounge near the WXYZ Bar where you can chill out.
If you need to do some business online or feel like surfing the net, head for the In Touch terminal at the lobby. There are computers available at no charge.
You can also charge your devices at the charging docks.
For those who want to shop, Nu Sentral Mall is located next to Aloft KL Sentral. For you convenience, use the connecting flyover located at the first floor near Nook.
