Water supply restoration to 3.8 million Klang Valley folk to begin at 4pm today

SHAH ALAM: Restoration of water supply to over 3.8 million consumers in the Klang Valley will begin in stages at 4pm today.

In a statement, Kumpulan Air Selangor said the supply recovery would start at Zone 1 (141 locations in Kuala Lumpur) as per its Water Supply Schedule.

"The maintenance works at Tenaga Nasional Bhd's Bukit Badong substation was completed at midnight. Following this, the Sungai Selangor Phase 1, 2 and 3 water treatment plants have resumed operation at full capacity.

"Restoration of water supply will commence as scheduled beginning 4pm today at Zone 1," said the statement, issued by Kumpulan Air Selangor Corporate Communications Department head Amin Lim Abdullah.

It also said that water supply through water tankers would continue to be sent to areas that remain affected due to low water pressure at water retention ponds.

They also advised consumers to use water prudently to expedite the supply recovery process.

Consumers can also request for relief water supply by sending an SMS to 15300 by typing TANKER Name & Address.
