MUAR: Clement Raj Selvaraj arrived at the Sultanah Fatimah Hospital here at about 1pm not knowing what to expect.
The 26-year old from Merlimau had been informed by the family of G. Palani Velan of the latter's possible involvement in the 3.40am express bus crash on Km137.3 of the North-South Expressway in Pagoh, Johor.
"I was asked to check but I do not know whether it was Palani who was involved," said Clement, who is a family friend.
"They sent me a picture and said they believed he was on board as he was travelling back to Singapore where he worked, after having a break in his hometown in Sungai Petani, Kedah," said Clement.
Clement said Palani's family members were on their way to Muar from Sungai Petani.
