SHAH ALAM: Azizul, Salma and Kudien emerged winners of 3 Juara at its final concert held, at Sri Pentas 2 in Plaza Alam Sentral here, last night.
Azizul, 28, from Johor won the Irama Malaysia category; Salma, 26, from Selangor for ballad; and Kudien, 22, also from Johor, for rock.
They beat three other finalists -- Nura, 18; Eva Maria, 23; and Hady, 28 -- to take home RM50,000 cash each.
The runners-up walked away with RM25,000 in cash prize each.
The 3 Juara final concert was broadcast live on TV3 at 9pm.
3 Juara is a reality talent show which seeks singing talents for three music genres, namely Irama Malaysia, ballad, and rock.
Each category featured renowned music producers as the mentors -- Pak Ngah, Ajai and Edrie Hashim.
At the beginning, each mentor had six participants to coach and after several rounds of elimination, only two made to it the final for a one-on-one battle to take the top spot in their respective genres.
Votes were from TV viewers, the mentors, and permanent judges comprising singing icons Noraniza Idris, Datuk Rossa and Datuk Awie.
This may be the final concert, but the show is far from over.
The champions will compete for the Champion of the Champions title on Sunday at the grand finale of 3 Juara's Pentas Epik.
