Shout out from the rooftops: New cinematic experience for Malaysians

KUALA LUMPUR: The creators of the popular Helipad Cinema are now launching a new outdoor cinema – the Roof Terrace Film Club.

This unique cinema will pop up every month (for a limited time only) to screen top Hollywood’s favourites.

For this month, the outdoor cinema will run for three days, from Jan 22 to 24, at Le Noir in TREC, Jalan Tun Razak. The venue boasts of a beautiful and panoramic view of the city’s skyline.

Movies to be screened are Romeo And Juliet (1996), a modern interpretation of Shakespeare’s timeless love story, starring Leonardo DiCaprio on Jan 22, horror film Insidious (Jan 23), about a family’s efforts to save their unconscious child from being trapped in a supernatural realm, and Slumdog Millionaire (Jan 24), an inspiring story about a poor contestant who is accused of cheating on the Indian version of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’.

There are two screenings a day, one at 7.30pm and the other, at 10pm, and tickets are priced at RM49 inclusive of one drink and popcorn.
