HULU TERENGGANU: Media Prima Bhd (MPB) presented survival kits to a total of 250 flood victims from Kampung Pasir Dula, Kampung Basung and Madrasah Al Ansar here today.
The kits include food items, toiletry and personal hygiene items.
The contribution was part of the ‘Misi Bantuan Banjir Titipan Kasih Harian Metro-Giant’ programme specially aimed at helping people in need.
The contributions were presented by Harian Metro group editor Datuk Mustapa Omar and Giant Sdn Bhd senior manager of government and corporate affair division Mohd Shahrizal Ayub.
Mustapa said 50 people including staffs from Harian Metro and Giant were present to distribute the items.
“We sympathise with the flood victims and we try our best to help them. We are grateful to Giant for willingly donating essentials such as rice, cooking oil, drinks, food and cleaning equipment worth RM60,000.
“We hope the kits could help ease the burden of flood victims,” said Mustapa.
