IPOH: Five people were injured, including three children in an accident involving a tour bus and a pick-up truck along Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands stretch today.
In the 11.30am incident, the Toyota Hilux's driver, in his 50's, was pinned to his seat while his wife, in her 40s, and three children sustained head and body injuries.
Simpang Pulai Fire and Rescue Department operation chief Abdul Manaf Hashim said six passengers in the bus and its two drivers escaped unhurt.
He said the department received a distress call at 11.53am.
"We had to use special tools to pull out the driver out of the truck." he said, adding that all the victims were taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for treatment.
