SHAH ALAM: The body of a man was found floating in a Drainage and Irrigation Department sluice in Sungai Kandis at Section 36 here yesterday.
A passerby spotted the body at 2.55pm in a pile of garbage and alerted the police.
The police have classified the case as sudden death.
Shah Alam police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said the deceased was clad in a dark shirt and a pair of jeans. There were no identification documents on the body.
The man is believed to have died more than two days ago, he said in a statement here.
The body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.
Shafien urged those with a missing family member or have information on the deceased to contact the Shah Alam police headquarters at Tel: 03-5520 2222 to facilitate investigations. -- BERNAMA
