SEMPORNA: Police are on the hunt for a man, believed to have stabbed his wife to death for refusing to sleep with him.
The incident took place at the couple’s home in Kampung Pinggir Bakau at about 4am, today.
Police said, investigation revealed that the husband was initially sleeping in the living room. The 50-year-old man then woke up and entered the bedroom, where he tried to get intimate with his wife.
District police chief Superintendent Peter Umbuas said the wife refused and an argument erupted.
“The man turned aggressive. He grabbed a sword and slashed the wife’s right arm.
“He then stabbed her three times and fled,” he said, adding the victim was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
