China tight-lipped over Malaysia-North Korea row

SEREMBAN: There is no clear sign yet of possible Chinese involvement in the conflict between Malaysia and North Korea.

China’s Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Huang Huikang had refused to comment on the matter. It is unknown if China will step in and play peacemaker.

“I have no comments. That (the issue) is not what’s included in the programme today,” he said when met after a factory visit to Kibing Group (M) Sdn Bhd (Kibing Malaysia) at the Taman Tuanku Jaafar Industrial area here today.

The factory is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhangzhou Kibing Glass Co Ltd.

After two hours, Huang then left with his entourage.

Politcal experts have claimed that China was the best choice to resolve the Malaysia-North Korea diplomatic row following strained relations after the murder of Kim Jong-nam took place at klia2 last month.
